Meadow Pond Farm has terrific helpers that enable us to bring many fine programs to friends and families interested in equine activities.
Melissa Geertgens of Montrose, PA has been serving as Camp Director of Meadow Pond Farm since 2005. Melissa has a BA Degree in both Elementary and Special Education from Misericordia University and a Masters in Literacy Education from Binghamton University. She currently is a Special Education teacher at the Maine-Endwell Middle School. Melissa has been providing equestrian riding instruction for youth and adults for over 15 years. Meadow Pond Farm Horse Camps are held several weeks throughout the summer and over the winter holidays.
If you ever wonder how we keep the barn looking so wonderful in the midst of many weekly riders and a dozen horses, we have Shannon Stephens to thank for that. Shannon also is our camp leadline group coordinator.
These “lunch ladies” as the campers refer to them, are Kathy Ernst and Rosemarie Ellis and work hard to prepare the delicious snacks and lunches everyday at camps.
We are very fortunate to have graduates of Meadow Pond camps to serve as camp assistants and role models for the younger campers.
Michael Vanness joined MPF in 2014 and helps with our camp progams as well. In addition, Michael assists with keeping the grounds in “tip-top” shape.
